A session with Kerry Doyle from The Owl Therapy Centre looking at how to use lego to develop communication in children. The session will be split into 3 sections:
The first section is a powerpoint presentation which sets out the theory. The second section is a practical, in which the attendees participate so as to learn how to do Lego therapy. Finally, the third section involves personalising Lego Therapy into your setting
Lego therapy aims to develop amongst other things
- Verbal and non-verbal communication
- Joint attention
- Task focus
- Sharing and turn-taking
- Collaborative problem-solving
The sessions will take place at Whitefields School. There are 2 sessions to choose from
10.30-12pm or 12.30pm-2pm
